Open Hands
Release Date: 8.18.2026
How often are you found with your hands open? And for what reason? We all are familiar with the statement of how it is better to give than receive. But in an environment like this, has it become everyone for themselves? This is the door that author Nicholas Maze hopes to unlock with his latest effort, Open Hands. Not only is he addressing the challenges of no longer caring for one another, but also no longer having the spiritual space to even care for ourselves. Imagine the heartache that exists in oneself.
The beauty of God is that He always has an example for any challenge that we face. This is one reason the author goes to the Holy Bible often to address how what we face today isn't far-fetched from what was experienced in ancient days. The hairstyles and clothing may have changed. And we are all now attached to mobile devices. But we can honestly say we still face the same spiritual battles that existed since the beginning of time.
We start by understanding the "Necessity of Sacrificing." What we may view as an animal being slaughtered on a stone, when we read God's Word is quite different in modern times. Then, there's the understanding of the "Two Sides." Where you can have one set of hands, but they can easily represent two different things. Along the way, there is an all-out explanation of the human's "Sinful Nature." Keyword being nature. Then there is the topic that many are familiar with, but most don't want to talk about. Which is "When Church Hurts." Living in a world of imperfect people is bound to find imperfection in every aspect of life. The author goes on to provide a unique insight into "His Hands", the hands of God and what they mean to us.
As we continue to grow as one body of Christ, this latest work becomes another tool we will be able to use to not only enlighten us but transform the lives others. We will all find a reason to have Open Hands.

BIO

Never did preteen Nicholas ever think his interest in writing would one day serve a higher purpose. A purpose so high that even he, himself wouldn't be able to see it in his lifetime. Yet, it is the very purpose that would bring forth a sense of gratification and reassurance that God is ever present.
The author of more than a dozen books in fiction and nonfiction, Nicholas has transformed his style of writing to what he calls 'his ministry'. Now, every book serves a purpose when it is released. This vision has fueled the author to prolifically write seven books in less than two years.
